How it works locally

After the model is cached, inference runs in the tab: the network should not show your image bytes uploading to a cutout API. The mask becomes an alpha channel on a PNG download. JPEG cannot preserve that transparency — if you convert afterward, use PNG or WebP with alpha via Convert Image.

Hair, fur, and wispy edges are the classic hard cases. Semi-transparent strands may look chopped or haloed. Plan a minute of visual QA at 100% zoom before you publish.
