Common issues and fixes

The resized image looks stretched.
The aspect-ratio lock is off. Turn it on to preserve the original proportions, or enter width and height values that match the original ratio.
Upscaling made the image blurry.

How it works locally

Your file is decoded in the browser, drawn onto a canvas at the target width and height, then re-encoded to a downloadable blob. Keeping aspect ratio means one dimension is derived from the other so the subject is not stretched. Unlocking both dimensions lets you force a box (which can distort unless you crop first).

Steps and practical tips
